The Creative Self:
3-Week Online Improvisation Course

The Creative Self is a series of three online workshops, each two hours long, for up to eight people. We’ll improvise stories together—telling, shaping, and co-creating them in real time. The method is simple: physical and emotional relaxation, paired with just enough intellectual stimulation to keep things alive. That’s what lets us stay open, responsive, and ready for surprise.

This isn’t about being clever or quick. It’s about making space for serendipity—the strange and beautiful things that happen when you stop trying to control the outcome. We’ll practise listening, properly listening. To each other, to ourselves, to the rhythm of what’s unfolding. That’s where the stories live.

You don’t need to be confident or experienced, just curious. The work is gentle but deep. We’ll welcome mistakes, follow the odd idea, and see what grows. It’s counter-intuitive learning: a way of playing that helps something shift—inside and between us.

Our Trainer

The class will be led by the course's creator, Remy Bertrand, an improvisation facilitator with over 10,000 hours of teaching experience. Remy has been teaching internationally since 2006 through his company Imprology, as well as in drama schools, universities, and other institutions. He brings a playful, exploratory approach to improvisation, focusing on pleasure, curiosity, and courage.
